RP Log, Part 3 of 4

Characters: OOC!Ryuuzaki ([info]dino_sour) and OOC!Ghost ([info]stalkerzombie)
Setting: Carnival; Cafe/Bar
Rating: PG13
Summary: The big log where Ryuuzaki and Ghost go on their date. A lot of stuff happens in this. They start their date off at the carnival, where Ghost proposes. Things don't go exactly as Ghost plan, but things eventually work out. Then it's off to the vegan cafe. The two do a variety of things that they (especially Ryuu) might not do when sober.

"I'm sorry, Ry, please... Please don't be hurt. I don't want to make you sad. This was supposed to be such a special day, and I blew it," Ghost said, stepping out and grabbing Ryuuzaki's hand. "What can I do to fix this?"

He stopped, but he didn't turn around. "No, it's okay. I know some of it's my fault. I'm trying real hard and I'm sorry that I haven't been trying harder. And I don't mean to be upset at you or Insector-san because it isn't friendly to be upset, but I can't help it."

“None of this is your fault, trust me. And it's not Haga's fault, either. It's all mine. He doesn't even know anything about us, or he wouldn't have... He's not like that. And it's not really a situation where you should be friendly and not upset. It's screwed up, and you have every right to be pissed at me. I would rather you be pissed off at me than sad..."

"I don't get it Ghost-san!" Ryuuzaki spun around, voice rising just a bit. "How come you did that? We're boyfriends, right? You aren't supposed do that. It's the rules, and you have to follow them. Is it 'cause...I don't do that? Is that why?"

Okay. Ghost backed up a little. Still, it was better dealing with this than the tears, he hoped. He nodded, and thought out his words, not taking his eyes away from Ryuu's. "We are. And I shouldn't have. It was a mean, selfish, hurtful thing to do. And you shouldn't ever do something like that to anyone you love, because you're supposed to think about their feelings first. And no matter what you do or don't do, I never should have... With Haga. Because when I asked you to be my boyfriend, I promised not to do that." He had to look away, feeling tears sting his eyes again and lost the bit of calmness he'd been trying to hold. "I'm not a good person, and I'm definitely not a good boyfriend. I knew it would hurt you, but I wanted to do it, and so I did."

"But you won’t again, right?" He walked up and peered around Ghost-san. "Right?"

Ghost wondered a little what Ryuuzaki was looking for, but didn't ask. "I don't know? I'll try not to..." He was trying to be honest, but it hurt admitting that to Ryuu. "Maybe I should just stay away from Insector-san." He switched to the formal use of Haga's name to try and keep it from stinging, because he didn't want to stay away from him.

Even if it wasn't a no, Ryuuzaki was glad to hear that Ghost-san would try. He wrapped his arms around him. "I'll try to help. I'll do whatever you want me to do to help you, okay? I'm supposed to do that, and I want to. And maybe...maybe sometime you can be around Insector-san and not do those things."

"I'm not going to pressure you into anything Ryuu, ever. I love you too much to do that. And I know I can't be around Insector-san without... You know. He... Um. It's just stuff you'd never do, ever, and I just need to be okay with that, because I do love you and I don't want to hurt you..." Ghost buried his face against the brunette's shoulder and kissed his neck lightly. "I'm okay with you not doing those things, really. I promise."

"Okay. But I'm still going to work at it! It's just something I want to do for you." Ryuuzaki was sure things were better now. He felt better, at least, and he'd make sure Ghost-san would never want to leave. Ever. "I'm super duper glad we're still together."

Ghost nodded and kissed Ryuu tenderly. "Uh, me too. I'm glad you want to be my husband, even though I'm a screw up. And I promise, I'll take things slow. We don't have to do anything you don't want to, and even if all we do is make out a little so that you can get used to it, that's enough. Because it's with you." He pushed purple bangs back and smiled a little. "And you're awesome, and I promise I'll always love you."

Ryuuzaki blushed. "Yeah, that would be nice. We can go to dinner still, if you want. I know that was part of your plan. Then I can give you your gift." Though he didn't think it was as good, but he tried super hard with it.

"Are you still hungry? Because it's a nice place and romantic, and I wanted to take you there..." Ghost wasn't sure he wanted to eat, anymore, since his stomach felt all twisted up, but the cafe had nice ambience at least. Maybe it would help ease the tension. "And you're really sweet. I don't think anyone's ever given me a present. My parents didn't, even, because my dad..." He froze and sank his nails into his upper arm. Even thinking about something like that could make him end up hearing his other-self's voice, even though he knew it couldn't take control. It had promised not to hurt Ryuu, anyhow. Still, he didn't want to hear it.

Oh, poor Ghost-san! Ryuuzaki gave him the biggest bear hug he could. He knew how hard it was when parents weren't very nice. Ghost-san must just miss his dad, too. "I'm super glad I can give you your first present. It'll be the greatest. And, well, I'm not a lot hungry, but maybe just a little bit. But I just want to do what you want to do. If you'd rather we go home, we can. That's okay. We can go to dinner later then."

"Well, I'm not too hungry either. Maybe we could have drinks and dessert?" And prolong the awkwardness of being home and staring at the living room floor.

"That sounds perfect! I wonder if they have chocolate." Ryuuzaki grabbed Ghost-san's hand and started pulling him toward the car, doing little hops all the way.

Well, at least Ryuu was happy again. That made Ghost smile, even though he couldn't hop along with Ryuuzaki. Not in skater jeans and chains, anyhow. Then he thought about something and stopped. "Wait. The shirt wasn't my surprise?"

Ryuuzaki nearly fell over, but he kept himself upright and turned around. "The shirt? Oh, no. I just saw this earlier and it reminded me of you. So I guess it's sorta a surprise, but I have another one!"

Oh, wow. Things like that made Ghost glad that he hadn't screwed up too badly, even if he'd kinda hoped for a minute that Ryuu would say no so he could pursue Haga. Because he was so nice and happy, and no one had ever cared enough to be nice to him. "That's... Wow. I mean, the shirt was enough of a surprise to make me happy for months and months. I don't deserve you."

"Don't say that Ghost-san. You deserve a lot." Ryuuzaki really meant that. Ghost-san had already done so much for him, letting him move in and give him food and be so super nice (for the most part, at least). He leaned forward and gave him a kiss, to show that he really, really did mean it.

Ghost blushed. "Trust me, you deserve more." It hadn't ever occurred to him to think twice about giving Ryuuzaki a place to stay and food... He wished when he was younger that someone had done the same for him, and so he just tried to do what he thought was right. Funny how that applied to the living situation but not the boyfriend one. He kissed back, softly still, holding it for a moment just to make it seem real that someone like Ryuu could love him.

Ryuuzaki giggled as he broke away. "Let's go get dessert now before everyone else eats it and there's none left."

Ghost laughed a little. "I'm sure they can make more... I hope they still have key lime pie..." That was his very favorite, even though it meant sugar-induced bounciness for the rest of the night.

"Really? I've never had that kind. I usually get chocolate." He planned to remember that, or at least try to. Maybe he would try making it one time.

***Magical Time Lapse***

Ghost clung to Ryuu's hand as they approached the vegan cafe and coffeehouse. The outside was buzzing with punks and goths, but as they went in, the artistic decor of the place became apparent, and couples were scattered about in dim corners sharing food by candlelight. Emo music was playing softly over the speakers running from the bar in the back, and Ghost led Ryuuzaki towards the back, thinking he'd be amused by the chairs that matched his bangs and had glitter in them.

Ryuuzaki's eyes were wide, taking it all in. He'd never been to a place like this before. None of his Trio-samas went to these types of cafes. It was so cool! And it looked just like Ghost-san. When he saw the chairs and he squeezed Ghost-san's hand tightly. "I match! I really match!"

Ghost giggled. "Yeah, every time I see these chairs I think of you! They're pretty, aren't they?" He sat on one and handed Ryuuzaki a menu. "Um, they have any kind of drink you want, including alcohol, but they don't serve anything with meat or animal products in it."

"Okay," Ryuuzaki said, taking the menu and sitting down. That's right, Ghost-san didn't like meat. He had to remember that, too. "Hmm, I dunno. I don't think I've ever had alcohol before, but I guess maybe I can try it. Should I?"

"If you want to, I kinda like it sometimes. Any particular thing you've thought of drinking?" Well, this looked to be promising. Maybe they get trashed and do karaoke. That might be interesting, since he was too embarrassed to post the smutty version of Ghostbusters he'd recorded for Ryuu.

"Then I'm going to, yeah. I don't know what kind. I want something that looks pretty and tastes really good." Though all his practice driving coffee would probably come in handy to deal with any flavors that weren't exactly wonderful to him. He scanned the menu, finally finding the perfect dessert. "I'm going to have the Black Tears Cake. It sounds super chocolatey."

"Um, maybe you'd like a sweet sort of frozen drink, like a daiquiri or pina colada or something. I'm going to have a long island iced tea and the mickey knox special." He smiled brightly at the pierced and tattooed girl who'd just come up, writing down their orders. "And yeah, that cake is really awesome and lots of chocolate."

"Okay, I'll try a daiquiri then. Um, strawberry." Ryuuzaki paused, looking down at the menu before quickly adding, "And the tea like Ghost-san is having. I like tea. Plus the cake. Thank you!" He smiled brightly and handed the girl his menu. He was happy that he wore the shirt today; at least part of him fit in well.

Ghost briefly considered telling Ryuu that the tea had 5 shots of alcohol in it, but there wasn't much fun in that, so he smiled a little and kept it to himself. "I'm glad you like it here. Its one of my favorite hangouts, and its open 24/7 which is great." He reached over and ran his hand softly across Ryuu's leg. "And I love you in that shirt. I don't think I've ever seen you in a wifebeater."

Ryuuzaki resisted the urge to scoot over. He had to get over this, and darn it, he was going to try just like he said. "That's what it's called? I thought it was just a tank top. I'm glad you like it 'cause I bought it hoping you would. I want to get some pants with all those belts or chains or whatever next time."

"Yeah, I think it's an allusion to American rednecks who beat their families and wear stained boxers and tank tops all the time." Ghost giggled. "You'd look sexy in those. But you don't have to. Your personality is too happy and friendly to ever really fit in with that sort of look. And everyone would call you a poser because you don't have a lot of scars on your arms. And then I'd have to get in a fight to defend your reputation, and I'm little so I'd get my ass kicked or have to stab someone."

"O-Oh! I don't want you to have to do that!" All that for wearing clothes? Ryuuzaki had no idea. "I'll just have the shirt then. I can't return it since I wore it already."

Ghost laughed. "Sorry, it was kind of a joke. People stereotype goths. They're actually much more accepting than any other subculture that I know of. I mean, any trend that would accept me even when I used to look the way I did has to be accepting." Probably should have realized Ryuu wouldn't think that was a joke. "I was just kidding because I don't care how you dress. You're still the same amazing person under the clothes."

Ryuuzaki chuckled, trying to pretend like it was super funny and he sorta knew it all along. "Yeah. I just want one outfit that looks like yours. Even if you say I can dress however I still want it." He wasn't sure if Ghost-san would understand, but that was okay if he didn't.

"Um, maybe I can take you to the store I shop at, then. They have lots of stuff, and punk too, not just goth." Ghost tried to picture cheerful Ryuu in bondage straps and arm warmers, and just couldn't do it. But he still thought it would be sexy. "Have you ever thought of getting pierced?”

"No. I don't think I'm strong enough for that. It seems so scary!" He shivered.

"Oh... Um, okay. Its not, really. Most of them don't even hurt. It's really quick and the jewelry is fun to play with." Ghost licked at the two new vertical labrets. "But I guess maybe it's not for everyone."

The lady came back and set their drinks on the table. "I don't know. I could feel yours when we, you know, kissed." He grabbed the strawberry daiquiri and took a drink. Hmm, it tasted pretty good! It was like the strawberry smoothie he got a few weeks ago, only just a little different tasting.

Host nodded. "It might sound weird, but it adds to the sensation, feeling the metal slide through and rub against the skin as you kiss someone. It makes it feel so intense. And other piercings affect things the same way. It feels really good." He leaned forward and downed half of his tea quickly. Mmmm... Alcohol. It rocked that they never carded here.

"It did feel kinda neat, I guess." Ryuuzaki smiled and took another drink of his daiquiri, then moved onto the tea. He barely got that drink down without his eyes bugging out. "Wow. That's...that's interesting tea."

Ghost smiled, glad Ryuu like it. "Oral piercings are usually used to..." Blush. Never mind. He'd eventually show him, but now wasn't the time. "Yeah. It has alcohol in it. 5 types."

"It does? I...I knew that." No, he didn't. Gosh darn he should have known it wasn't just regular tea, but he was doing to drink it. He took another big drink, still surprised that it didn't taste like regular tea.

Ghost nodded and drank some more of his, knowing the buzz would start to kick in fairly quickly because of his size. "I usually drink whiskey or vodka but I like this, too. It doesn't taste very good, but it gets you drunk pretty fast."

Ryuuzaki nodded. He alternated between his two drinks since he couldn't just drink his tea like Ghost-san did. After he was half-way through the desserts came. It looked really good. He looked up at Ghost-san, giving him a half smile. He felt sorta weird, but just a little bit. It was kinda nice.

Ghost cut off a bit of the key lime pie and scooped it up, smiling a little nervously. "Do you want to try some?" Licking at the piercings again, mostly because they were still sore.

"Sure, yeah." Ryuuzaki leaned over the table and wrapped his lips around the fork. He looked up and smiled as he pulled back, taking in the nummy treat. "Mmm, thas good," he said between chews.

“Yeah," Ghost said, not able to take his eyes off of Ryuuzaki's lips. He leaned forward and got the drop that was on the corner of his mouth, then licked it off his finger. Oh... That was... Okay. Don't get flustered. "It’s my favorite. But not many places serve it."

"Oh, okay. Did you want to try mine?" Ryuuzaki cut of a piece and held it out. It sure looked good, but he wanted to offer Ghost-san the first piece.

Ghost shook his head. "Not really in the mood for chocolate. Thanks, though." He spooned off some more of his pie and washed it down with the tea, starting to feel a little warm.

Ryuuzaki didn't waste another second and put the bite in his mouth. Mmm, it was so yummy! It was like the best chocolate in the whole world. He quickly got another piece, then drank some more of his daiquiri. Gosh this was the bestest day in the world and the most best cafe.

Ghost had to smile at how happy Ryuu seemed, slowly eating his pie in between sips of tea. Holy crap, he was gonna be on the sugar rush from hell in a minute if he wasn't drunk first, but that was okay. Plenty to do here if he did get hyper. He was considering what songs he could sing for Ryuu in the back and if the brunette would get on stage with him.

The daiquiri was soon gone, and Ryuuzaki used his fork to get the last bits of the slushiness on the bottom. He kinda wanted another, even though he had his tea. Yeah, he had to finish that. He took a big bite of cake and a big drink of his tea. "My head feels kinda weird," he said, giggling.

Ghost laughed. "Yep, that's the point of drinking alcohol. It's soooo much fun." Until the next day, but hell, that was hours and hours away. He grabbed a waitress that was walking through and told her to bring some more drinks, daiquiri with extra shots of strawberry rum for Ryuu, and soco on the rocks for himself.

"Okay. It is kinda fun." Ryuuzaki took a couple more bites of his chocolate cake and finished off his tea. Wow, was this why Ghost-san drank then? He felt all....something, but it was a good something. He hoped off his chair and scooted it closer to Ghost-san's, then got back on, though with a bit of difficulty.

Ghost smiled again and ruffled Ryuuzaki's hair, giggling as his bangs ended up sticking out and covering his eyes. "I'm glad we're having fun now and not crying," He said ever-so-intelligently, like he'd discovered the secret to life, slamming the rest of his tea. Not that he was a lush or anything. "Do you like to sing?"

Cry? No way. Ryuuzaki didn't think he'd ever cry again. He was feeling way too super good. "Yeah, singing is lots and lots and lots of fun." He liked to sing along to his tape of Katsuya-sama. "Why?"

"They have Karaoke Revolution by the bar. That's where I was singing the other night. It even shows you the notes and stuff you're supposed to hit!" Ghost laughed again. "And they let you take your drinks on stage so you can stay drunk."

"We can sing a song! I wanna sing where you sang Ghost-san!" Ryuuzaki thought that was a real good thing about bringing up the drinks, especially because the lady just came and put down some more drinks. He grabbed one of the glasses and started drinking. It was so strawberry flavored, but it tasted even more different than the smoothie.

Ghost nodded. "It's so fun, and no one here even makes fun, and they're never busy so I usually get to do a lot of songs and I bet some of my school friends are back there, too." Uh-oh. Definite sugar rush. He grabbed his whiskey and held it tightly as he drank from it.

Oh, school friends. Ryuuzaki forgot that Ghost-san had them, and he felt a little jealous. "Um, kay. I wanna sing a song with you. Let's go." And he did his best to try and gather his drinks while still sipping on the one.

Ghost grabbed the one that was threatening to fall to the floor, and his own. "Okay. You wanna do a duet? I'm not sure I know any of the duets, but they've got like 300 songs..."

"Thanks. Only if you want to. We can just do by ourself songs if you want to do that." Ryuuzaki nearly crashed into another chair, having been looking at Ghost-san. He laughed, finding it all the funniest thing that ever was.

Ghost was laughing at Ryuuzaki almost falling and nearly fell himself, tripping over the chains on his pants. But it was okay, because nothing got spilled! That would have been bad or something. "Well, we can just look at the songs? I mostly just know the punk and metal ones."

That only made Ryuuzaki laugh even louder. "Okay! But don't fall down or nothing. That wouldn't be real good." Ryuuzaki didn't think he'd ever felt so good in his whole life! He wasn't scared or nothing, even now that he might go sing in front of people. It was all super okay because he was with Ghost-san and...and..."We're engaged!" He shouted, finishing his thought.

Ghost snickered and waved at the people applauding. "Okay, so maybe you don't even need a microphone!" That was soooo funny. "You're happy we're engaged?" That was sooooo sweet. It made it easier not to think about Haga. At least he'd never seen Haga hanging out in this particular cafe.

Ryuuzaki put an arm around Ghost-san's neck, leaning close. "I'm so happy it's like, really happy." He leaned forward and gave him a big kiss.

Awww. "Me too. And I'm gonna be a really good husband." Ghost returned the kiss, trying not to lean into it so much that he made Ryuuzaki fall backwards.

"I'm gunna be the best there is too and," He took a large drink, "we'll have the best house and we'll both be so happy." He took another drink.

"And we'll get to wake up in each other's arms..." Ghost continued, then frowned. Huh. He hadn't thought that one through.

"Yeah..." Ryuuzaki leaned against Ghost-san, smiling.

Ghost blushed. Okay, so he'd just have to get up really early and fix his makeup. That wasn't too bad, since he didn't sleep a lot. And it was worth the hassle to get to sleep in Ryuu's arms, because even if they weren’t doing anything sexual, cuddling would be nice. He smiled a little and hugged the brunette, opening the door to the bar area.

The bar looked really cool, too. Ryuuzaki wished Ghost-san had taken him here before, 'cause it looked so pretty. Even if his Trio-samas hadn't been here, and even if maybe they didn't drink, that was okay. They didn't have to know and he was good at keeping secrets. He walked inside, still sipping on his drink, and over to the karaoke. "You gotta pick a song for me 'cause I don't really know songs. Pretty please?"

Ghost snickered, then blushed. "Okay, if you really want." He smirked a little, thinking this would be pretty funny, and started flipping through the book. "Here... I want you to sing 'Let's get it on' by Marvin Gaye..." Ghost tried to keep a straight face.

Ryuuzaki just shrugged. "Okay. Lemme get the microphone." He skipped the best he could over to it. Once he had it in his hand he struck a pose, drink in one hand, microphone up by his mouth in the other. "I'm going to sing it the very best."

Ooooh, hot. Ghost cheered, pulling a chair up beside a girl he knew from school, kissing her on the cheek briefly and waving at Ryuu.

Ryuuzaki waved back, all smiles, as the music started. He looked at the screen, waiting for the words to start up. "I've been really trying, baby," he began, a little off beat and not in tune, "Trying to hold back these feelings for so long. And if you feel like I feel, baby, come on, oh come on...let's get it on." His cheeks heated up.

There were a couple of yells of "oh yeah, I'd get it on with you," from the crowd of freaks, and Ghost glared for a minute, then smiled at Ryuu. Let one of those idiots hit on him when he was done. He'd make someone bleed.

Ryuuzaki blushed even more, but he couldn't help but smile a little. He looked back to the words on the screen, trying to keep up. "We're all sensitive people with so much love to give, understand me sugar since we got to be. Let's say, I love you. There's nothing wrong with me lovin you." He looked straight at Ghost-san and took another drink. This was so much fun!

Ghost smiled and blew him a kiss, not caring if he looked like a dork, and stole his drink back from Ama, who shrugged and went back to sketching in her book, a drawing of drunk Ryuu holding a mic.

"I'm asking you baby, to get it on with me," Ryuuzaki belted out, trying to move the best he could do the song. "I ain't gonna worry, I ain't gonna push. C'mon! C'mon! Um...baby." He giggled, missing some of the words. "Let's get it ooooooooon!"

Oooh, that was just too cute! Ghost jumped up, drink in hand and jumped on the stage, glomping Ryuu really hard.

Ryuuzaki wasn't expecting that and he fell back, somehow managing to keep his drink upright. His head felt like it was swimming. He tried to steady his eyes on Ghost-san. "Did I do okay?"

Ghost leaned in and nipped at his ear. "That was so sexy! I like watching you sing!" Then he grabbed the mic and squealed into it. "Isn’t my fiancé just the best ever?"
