Setting: A pizza parlor

Summary: IC!Anzu meets up with OOC!Mana for talk on past lives, the disgraceful OOC!Anzu (whee), and pizza. (Sorry if it sounds so boring. I’m not good at this. .__.)


Anzu Mazaki tapped her wristwatch impatiently as she waited for her pizza to be delivered. She wasn't exactly the type of person to go up and yell for slow service, so she just waited. And waited. And as she did so, she thought of the most recent events she had been brought into. The other Anzu, Katsuya, Malik, Shadow-- Mokuba. She stared off into space. Life seemed to be so strange nowadays..

After the meeting with the other Anzu...Mana just practically was all blah right now, due to what happened. Suddenly finding her friend--Anzu in this strange place, she decided to go inside, looking for Teana. "Ah! Teana! It is you!" She said, with a bright smile, running towards the table and taking a seat.

The blue-eyed girl raised her head as she heard the sound of her name. Or her.. other name. Teana. "Oh, hi, Mana!" she said, pasting on a smile, as she found out who it was. "Funny seeing you here, huh?" She glanced over at the person behind the counter (who seemed to suddenly hurry up under her stare).

"Yes, as I have not tasted this pizza. My other self says that it is the best food in the world." Mana said, with another bright smile. "I suppose I should taste this 'pizza'." Mana said, with smiling.

The pizza arrived, and Anzu took a slice from it. It was nice and hot, just the way she wanted it. "Dig in," she said, "it's no good eating alone." As she bit into it, she stared at the girl, Mana. She seemed a little familiar, but at the same time, not at all. And their talks about past lives..

Mana blinked, as she feverishly took another slice, and then she put it into her mouth. "HOLY RA, WHAT IS THIS?!" She said, with putting the slice down.

Anzu jumped up with a start. "What's wrong?!" she exclaimed. There was nothing wrong with the slice she took. "Is there something wrong with it?"

"It's too hot!" Mana said, with fanning off her mouth and her tounge. Of course she didn't have a coolant spell handy with her.

Anzu raised her hand and called for the waiter. "Waiter!" she said. When the man came up to her, she said, "Two glasses of water, please." As he left, she said to Mana, "Maybe you should have waited for it to cool first if you're not used to it."

Mana took the water gracefully and then she prayed to Hapi. "Thank you, Hapi for this water that I consumed." She said, with nodding at Teana. "Yes, I suppose so." She said, with another nod.

Anzu giggled. "You're not used to this place yet, are you?" she said curiously. "Did you.. come from anywhere?" She folded her hands together on the table.

"No, I come from Ancient Egypt." Mana blinked a little at Teana. "Why? Is there a question you needed answering or something?" She said, with another blink.

"Ancient Egypt? Like you got.. stuck in a time warp or something?" Anzu was not a fan of science fiction or anything, and she had been away for a long time, but something was up. "Well, you call me.. Teana, and you keep talking about my past life.." she murmured, her voice a little lower. "It just makes me wonder.. where you came from."

"Actually, I was transported here after doing a spell wrongly." She blinked, and then she said. "Well, I came here from Ancient Egypt and you are Teana in a past life." Suddenly a tablet appeared in Mana's hands and she handed it to Teana.

"So.. you're a sorceress or something?" asked Anzu, but decided that she might not get an answer anyway as a tablet appeared in the other girl's hand. She took it reluctantly and stared at it. "..What is this?"

"Apprentice Magician. And, that's a tablet that was etched by a slave that was working in Atemu's temple. The slave drew you as you were five thousand years ago, Teana."

The short-haired brunette stared in surprise at the tablet. It was.. her. Anzu Mazaki. Except she was wearing different clothes, and her hair was styled a teeny bit differently. "This is.. me?" she asked, incredulously.

"Yes, that is you. You were engaged to Pharaoh Atemu and he later died--leaving High Priest Seth to his throne." Mana said, with another smile.

Anzu blinked. And then blinked again. "I was engaged to him, and before we got married, he died?" she asked. "And Kaiba-kun took the throne?" She couldn't help but say Kaiba-kun instead of Seth; it was just automatic.

"Yes, though this 'Kaiba-kun' was the holder of the Sennen Rod." Mana said, with her mind chasing back that day.

Anzu touched her forehead with her free hand. "Is that all that happened?" She shook her head. Pharaoh Atemu.. Was he the person who just arrived after her? And there was a Seth somewhere. "And there was a tear in the fabric of the space-time continuum or something and they all got stuck here?"

"Just about--after the Thief King assault. And, I really don't know. I came here after a spell malfunction, so yes. I am just as confused as you." Mana said, with closing her eyes.

Anzu put down the tablet on her lap and started again on her pizza, but not before wiping her hands first. Strange. "So we have more or less the same problem, hm.." she said thoughtfully. She took a sip of water, her eyes darting from Mana to the tablet and back to Mana again.

"I would suppose so, Teana." Mana said, with attempting to eat the pizza, as she took another bite out of it, not squealing in pain.

"Hmmm..." All Anzu could do was think about everything. It was all so confusing. And the poor girl in front of her, she still wasn't used to everything yet. At least Anzu lived in Domino City; Mana was just transported there.

Mana blinked and shrugged a little. Taking the water, she would then pray for the pizza.

"I would show you your past, but I do not have that amount of ka..."

Anzu smiled. "It's all right, I know all that I.. need to, right now." She took another sip of water. "I think I'll understand this fully soon. Once I get to talk to everyone.."

"Yes, and everyone is so nice here, well, aside from Diabound, your other self, my Priest and the other not-nice version of Malik." Mana said, with a little sigh.

Anzu grinned, pleased. "Well, that's nice to know," she said cheerily. "And it's easy to handle boys if you've been among them all your life, right? My other self you can just ignore."

"Oh, okay. Yes, your other self disgraced Ra!" She said, with flailing her arms. "The holy god! She disgraced Ra!"

"Ra?" Anzu remembered reading about Ra in her journal. "Oh, yeah. Well, being a Christian, it's sort of hard to think that there are really other gods around, you know? Especially ancient ones who have been proved by people not to exist. No offense," she added quickly.

"Oh...I get it..it is just that we still worship the gods such as Ra, Osiris, Anubis and the other ones, like Hathor--goddess of childbirth and Hapi." She said, with a nod.

Anzu nodded. "Mm-hmm. Something like that. An that's because you come from another time!"

"Yep! You are muchmuchmuch nicer than the men and the Christian!Biblethumper version I met of you." Mana said, with a cheery smile.

The brunette smiled warmly. "That's really nice of you," she said. "You're one of the nice people I've met recently, too."

"Aww, you are most welcomed Teana." Mana bowed respectfully at Teana. "And, thank you." She still kept her bow.

Anzu waved her hands quickly. "No, no, it's nothing! It's just true," she said, flattered at all the respect.

Suddenly Anzu caught sight of the clock. "Oh no!" she gasped. "I have to get going right now! I promised to meet up with someone!" She stood up from the table, took out her wallet, and put a few bills on the table. "Here, you can pay for the pizza and water with this. And a little extra in case you want to get something."

"Okay.." Mana blinked, with bowing again at Teana, and then she smiled gently, paying for the meal, as she left for her temporary residence--the Ishtar residence.
