Characters: IC!Otogi and Shadow
Rating: PG13
Setting: Otogi’s home
Summary: Otogi opens his door to find an unexpected guest in the night.
[This RP took place after Shadow visited OOC!Malik’s house, so the wounds are in accordance to what Shadow received up until that point. Consider this the late-found victim.]
It hadn't been long since Shadow made an appearance at Malik's house. There was just enough time to get some stitches in his stomach and give him a shot of pain medication before he set off once again into the night. He stood in front of Otogi's door, deciding he would try something different. Smiling, he knocked.
Otogi yawned, looking at the clock. "11:45? Isn't that a bit late for some people? It's past my bedtime," he mumbled at the knock to his door. Very groggily, he went to the door and yanked the door open.
Shadow looked the man up and down. It seemed he had ruined someone's beauty rest. Oh well. "Hey there, pirate." He shoved Otogi inside and closed the door.
Otogi blinked. "Ahoy, matey?"
Shadow stood there for a moment, staring at him. That wasn't the usual response, but no matter. He picked up his bag and started walking through the living room, grabbing anything that caught his eye. "Hey, Jack Sparrow, you mind getting me something to drink?" All this thieving was making him thirsty.
He blinked again, this time with his eye twitching occasionally. "Since when was this 'steal Otogi's stuff and make him uncomfortable' day?" He said while involuntarily following Shadow's orders and heading to the kitchen.
Good, he was being made uncomfortable, though Shadow wondered why he was actually going to get him a drink. Not that he minded, but it wasn't the usual run and scream terror he usually faced. He placed a few more items in his bag before flopping down on the couch, waiting for his drink to appear.
Otogi rolled his eyes as he mixed something from the liquor cabinet. "Here," he said, throwing it at him, almost leaking everywhere.
Shadow grabbed the drink. Some of the contents sloshed on him. Great, now he'd smell like alcohol. He took a few small drinks from the cup before deciding he didn't want anymore and threw it at Otogi, hoping to smash that rudeness right out of him.
He leaned to the side a bit and lunged at the couch, letting the glass break against the wall. "My ex was a drunken maniac; I have learned to dodge these things."
Shadow braced for when Otogi hit him. "Was he now. Well, he sounds just lovely to me." He yanked Otogi's hair back, exposing a smooth neck. There was something missing though. Oh, yes, he knew what it was. Shadow reached down and pulled out his knife, letting the tip slide long Otogi's neck. Beads of blood formed behind the blade.
"Does he now?" Otogi cringed, trying to break free of Shadow's grasp. He shivered, his arms going limp as the blade sifted through his skin. "Didn't you know I like pain?" He laughed through his messed-up facial expression.
Well, this was going to be more difficult, and Shadow smiled at that thought. It would take some doing to make this one scream. "Well, I'll try harder then." He twirled the knife around, holding it as high as he could, then brought it down on Otogi's shoulder. He could feel it passing through the skin and sinking deeper as he pushed down. Bloody rivers already started cascading down. "Bloody pirate," he laughed.
Otogi gasped at the pain, trying not to let it get to him - even though it was. "Is...there a reason why you're here, anyway?" he breathed out heavily, placing his free hand over the wounds already appearing.
One little noise. It was a start, and Shadow was a patient person and would try and try until there was no more trying to do. He pulled the knife out, watching the blood drip-drip on the couch. "Reason? Perhaps I was just walking by and saw your house and thought I'd drop by and say hello. Or maybe not." He touched the tip of the blade to Otogi's nose in humor.
Otogi managed to break his other arm free and he clenched it in pain. "Well what a lovely hello it is. I'll say hi to the family for you," he said with a fake smile. He licked the blood off of the smaller wound, where the blade had hit other places that Shadow hadn't meant to cut.
"You're an odd one," Shadow said as he watched the pirate lick his wounds. Just like an animal would. Perhaps he named him wrong? He shook his head, not wanting to concern himself with those thoughts right now. Instead, he decided to get his mark on that body earlier. He brought the blade to Sparrow's left side, sliding it along quickly from back to front on his waist.
Otogi cringed, the pain sinking deeper. "Quite the sadist, aren’t you? I'm impressed," he said as he dug his claw-like fingers across Shadow's arm, drawing blood.
Shadow winced and slapped Otogi hard across the face. "And you're quite the masochist. How very yang and yang." Without warning Shadow stood up, not bothering to make sure Otogi would have a safe landing when he did so. He started walking to the back rooms, bag in hand. What treasures awaited him down there? He wondered.
Otogi fell to the floor with a loud "bang" and struggled helplessly to hold himself up. By now he'd have lost at least a quarter pint of blood; the slashes across his waist were pretty deep wounds. Slowly he limped to the medicine cabinet and wrapped some gauze around him, soaking up the blood as it seeped through his clothes.
His bag was half way full when Shadow wondered where his pirate was. "Oh Jack. Where are you?" He called out from the bedroom door. Reaching behind him, he grabbed something that was hooked to his belt and held it in his hand. "I've got some rum!"
Otogi rolled his eyes. "I have a name you know, and it's not Jack Sparrow." He followed him into the bedroom anyway, just to see what he was talking about. "What is it?"
Like Shadow cared about his real name. "Jack Jack Jack Jack," he sang, skipping over to his little pirate. His hand was still behind his back, and he faked bringing it out a few times. When he grew tired of his own game he brought his hand forward. From it dangled a long string with many colorful beads near the bottom. He grinned before whipping the pirate with the beads.
"Is this your idea of fun?" Otogi asked, with a furrowed eyebrow.
"Yes." Shadow whipped him a few more times until his arm began to hurt. Damn the pirate's nails, though he was thankful it wasn't his stomach that was being abused. "Don't try and tell me you aren't enjoying it."
"Maybe," he mumbled, deciding to lessen the grip he had on Shadow.
Shadow gave him a good slap on the cheek. "Thought so." The room was in a state of disarray from his search for treasure. It bothered him now to look at it, though a pirate's home was no place for neatness. A clock was still visible. It was getting early. "Well, Jack, as much as I'd love to stay and have a sword fight, it's time for me to go." Shadow grabbed his bag and gave his pirate a pat on the back as he walked past him.
"Wait..what?" He blinked at Shadow and followed behind him. "What was all of that for?" He raised an eyebrow; he didn't remember signing up for a thieving campaign.
His pirate was quite the little pest. Didn't he have any respect for his superior? Shadow spun around and stared hard at him. "It was for fun. Haven't you read the paper or watched the news or checked any of your little friends' journals? I sneak into a home, take some booty, have a little fun with my guest, and off I go into the night."
"Riiight." He said with another dramatic raise of the eyebrow. "So...you're leaving, right?" he asked, ushering him to the door. "You've had enough fun for one night."
"Now wait right there! This isn't how things are done. Not at all, Jack, not at all." Shadow was by the front door now, loot stashed in his bag, his pirate bleeding in front of him. Yes, that was right. "You're supposed to be writhing in pain and falling on the floor, maybe trying to make your way over to the phone to call the police so that they can rescue you." His arms flew up in dramatic flair. "Instead you're walking me out?"
Otogi rolled his eyes. "I don't give into pain that easily, you know."
Shadow thought for a second that he could just shoot the pirate. That would give enough pain to get him on the floor. His hand ran around his belt and he cursed himself as he realized he didn't have it with him. Instead he settled for slamming his fist into his pirate's stomach. No sense in keeping those injuries all to himself. "Now I really must be going. I have an...appointment that I cannot push much longer. Though, here." Shadow tossed a knife to Otogi. "Have a little fun with it." He opened the door and stepped out, giving his pirate one last look before walking away.
Otogi's eyes widened and he hunched over, coughing up a half-pint of blood. "What are you trying to do, kill me? Oh wait, yeah." He held onto the wall for support as he tried to help himself up. "Alright, Shadow. You saw me writhe in pain. Now aren't you supposed to go make someone else suffer now?"
"Because you're so insistent I'll go find someone else. Have a bloody good evening, matey." Shadow twirled his hand as he bowed, turned, and walked off. He smiled. He'd gotten some good treasure here.
